TOEFL iBT

Test of English as a Foreign Language

TOEFL iBT is widely preferred by universities in the U.S. and increasingly worldwide; it’s accepted by 12,500+ institutions across 160+ countries. It measures academic English in ways that mirror campus life—listening to lectures, discussing ideas, and writing about sources.

What happens on test day?

At a test center, you’ll check in with your acceptable ID, store personal items, complete security procedures, and test at a computer workstation with supervised breaks. Prohibited items (phones, notes, food/drink in the room) must be left outside the testing room.
